2007 Dinner Auction
The Dinner/Auction, held Novemeber 10th at the Cloverleaf Hall in Enterprise was a huge success. The theme this year was "A Dream Come True" in honor of the new hosptial completion. This year's fundraising focus was to raise money for a new ambulance for the EMS program. The Dinner/Auction procedes were about $45,000, and along with a generous $50,000 donation from a local estate, the Foundation was able to contribute $90,000 towards the ambulance. Thank you to our community for all the generous support.

Collins Foundation Grant Award - August 2006
A grant in the amount of $125,000 was recently awarded the Wallowa County Health Care District to be used on the new hospital construction project. The Collins Foundation, an independent private foundation, was created in 1947 by Truman W. Collins and other members of the family of E.S. Collins.  The Collins Foundation supports projects that will enrich and improve the quality of life in the state of Oregon.

Wildhorse Foundation Grant Award - August 2006
Wallowa County Health Care District recieved a grant award in the amount of $20,000 from the Wildhorse Foundation in Pendleton, Oregon to be used toward the new hospital construction project. The Wildhorse Foundation was established in 2001 for the purpose of formalizing charitable giving on behalf of the Wildhorse Resort and Casino, and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. The Foundation makes grant funds available for projects that benefit the public in areas of Umatilla, Union, Morrow and Wallowa Counties, and the Umatilla Indian Reservation.

Henry Lea Hillman, Jr. Foundation Grant Award - June 2006
The Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation was notified that the Board of Trustees of the Henry Lea Hillman, Jr. Foundation recently approved a contribution in the amount of $10,000 to be used toward the new hospital construction project. A check for that amount was received by the WVHCF on June 5, 2006.

Minneapolis Foundation - June 2006
The Richard and Mary Frasch Fund of the Minneapolis Foundation has awarded a grant of $25,000 to the Wallowa County Health Care Foundation to be used for the new hospital construction.

M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust Grant Award - May 2006
The Trustees from the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust recently approved a grant in the amount of $200,000 for the construction of the new hospital in Enterprise, Oregon. In addition, they will match up to $50,000 of other monies raised.  The M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust was created by the will of the late Melvin J. (Jack) Murdock, who was a co-founder of Tektronix, Inc, of Beaverton, Oregon.

The Oregon Community Foundation Grant Award - May 2006
The Oregon Community Foundation has approved the application from the Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation for a grant in the amount of $20,000 for the construction of the new hospital in Enterprise. The grant is made possible through the James F. and Marion L. Miller Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation. This grant is contingent upon securing matching funds from local sources.

Anonymous Donation - May 2006
The Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation received an anonymous donation of $10,000 to be used for the construction of the new hospital.

N.E. Oregon Alliance Grant Award - April 2006
On April 17th, 2006, the Northeast Oregon Alliance Board determined that the New Hospital Project in Enterprise, Oregon met the guidelines of the 2005 -2006 Regional Investment Strategy and/or Rural Action Plan and has selected the Project to recieve a total of $100,000 of grant funding.

Cash Donations - March, 2006
Soroptimist of Wallowa County, an affiliate of the international organization of Soroptimist, recently gave the Wallowa County Health Care Foundation a check for $5,000, to be used for the new hospital. In addition, the organization pledged to contribute at least another $1,000 per year for the next four years. Soroptimist of Wallowa County is a volunteer community service organization for business and professional women that is committed to helping the community with projects that benefit all citizens in Wallowa County.

Cash Donations - January, 2006
Wallowa Memorial Hospital received a $10,000 cash donation from Mr. and Mrs. Howard M. Johnson to help in the construction of the new hospital. The Johnsons have been supporters of health care in Wallowa County for many years.

Gifts from the Heart, an employee organization that supports the needs of the Hospital and Care Center recently made a donation of $10,000 to the new hosptial fundrasing effort.

Wallowa County Health Care District Auxiliary group voted at their January meeting to donate $1,000 to the new hospital fundraising effort.

Cash Donations - December, 2005
The Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation received a $10,000 cash donation from Wilfred and Sandra Dagget, a $5,000 cash donation from Skanska USA Building Inc, and a $5,000 cash donation from Clark/Kjos Architects, all designated to the New Hospital Project. The Daggets have been continually supportive of health care in Wallowa County.  Skanska USA Building, Inc. is the Construction Manager/General Contractor for the New Hospital Project, and Clark Kjos is the Architect for the project.

The Foundation also donated an additional $55,045.64 towards the New Hospital project from the Annice Rowe Estate Settlement.

Cash Donation - August, 2005
The Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation received a $40,000 cash donation from Richard and Mary Frasch, designated to the New Hospital Project. The Frasch's have been contributors over the past four years and are very supportive of the New Hospital.

Foundation Donates to New Hospital Project
July, 2005 - The Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation received a cash donation of $100,000.00 from the Annice L. Rowe estate. The Foundation being in full support of the Wallowa County Health Care District's new hospital construction made a unanimous decision to give the funds towards the new hospital. On July 7th, Foundation President Terry Jones presented a $100,000.00 check to Larry Davy, CEO of Wallowa County Health Care District.
