Cardiac
Rehabilitation is a comprehensive outpatient wellness program for
cardiac patients and their families. Holter and event monitoring, as
well as cardiac stress tests are also available.
Care Center/Nursing Home
The
Care Center provides routine daily care in a home like environment for
residents who have functional disabilities and qualify for intermediate
level facility care. Quality services are available for short and long
term needs.
Chemotherapy and Infusion Services
Wallowa
Memorial Hospital is pleased to provide both chemotherapy, and IV
infusion therapy. Nurses specially trained in chemotherapy provide
treatment in conjunction with your oncologist and primary physician in
a pleasant and relaxed setting.
Dietary
Our
registered/licensed dietitian can provide in-patient or out-patient
medical nutrition therapy for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal
failure, weight loss, GI diseases and many other therapeutic diets.

Emergency Department
Wallowa
Memorial Hospital has a Level IV Trauma Emergency Department available
to treat patients with major and minor injuries and illnesses, and
provides 24-hour coverage by physicians experienced in Emergency
Medicine.

Emergency Medical Services (Ambulance Service)
The
hospital based ambulance program provides advanced life support
capabilities to the residents and visitors to Wallowa County 24 hours a
day. Inter-hospital transport for patients requiring treatment at an
outlying hospital is coordinated by ground or air. Affiliation with the
Fire Med of Oregon ambulance membership program is maintained.
Home Health
Our Medicare certified Home Health Department offers skilled nursing, physical therapy and home health aides.
Home Oxygen Services
The
Home Oxygen Department is the little department that can meet all of
your home oxygen and nebulizer compressor needs. If you need portable
tanks to get around with, or continuous twenty-four hours a day oxygen,
we can help. We offer reliable service and we are only a phone call
away, 24 hours a day. Our delivery technicians live and work locally;
and can deliver and service your equipment quickly and efficiently.
If
you suffer from sleep apnea, our registered Respiratory Therapist can
help work out the rough spots in your treatment regimen as well as
supply all your CPAP equipment.
Hospice
Our
Medicare certified Hospice Department provides specialized palliative
and comfort care to patients and their families during the last six
months of the patient’s life.
ICU/CCU
Our
Intensive/Coronary Care Unit provides 24-hour comprehensive nursing
care and concentrated specialized care for the acutely ill patient.
Nurses are specially educated in the care of critically ill patients.
Laboratory
Medical
technologists take blood and urine samples and other tests to assist
your physician in determining the most appropriate treatment. The
Laboratory is under the direction of a physician specialist known as a
pathologist.

Maternity Department
High
quality, family oriented birth experience, focusing on the safety and
comfort of our mothers and newborns is provided. Labor, delivery and
recovery all take place in a home-like setting with care provided by
specially trained physicians and nurses. Birthing classes are offered
on a periodic basis.
Medical-Surgical Care
24 hour acute care is provided to inpatients of all ages with a variety of medical and surgical needs.
Pastoral Care
Respecting
all faiths, community pastors are available to provide spiritual
support to patients and their families. They will be glad to meet with
you and talk with you about problems and concerns you may have. A
chapel is available and provides a quiet place for reflection and
prayer. It is available 24 hours a day for patients, their family
members and other visitors.
Pharmacy
A full service pharmacy is available to meet the needs of patients receiving care in our hospital.
Physical Therapy
Physical
therapy services are available to both inpatients and outpatients.
Qualified and skilled therapists offer professional treatments to help
restore normal function, improve mobility, and achieve a greater degree
of independence. Treatment of sports injuries as well as post-surgical
rehabilitation is available. Therapy and education is available for
back protection, strengthening exercises and body mechanics.

Radiology
Our
Radiology Department provides diagnostic imaging services such as
x-rays, CT scans, mammography, ultrasound, and MRI. A physician
specialist, called a Radiologist, reads and interprets the images.
Respiratory Therapy
Our registered Respiratory
Therapist is available to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services
five days a week. Assessments and consultations can assist the
physician to tailor treatment to your specific condition. If you have questions, we can provide the education to help you become better

Respite Care
To
give caregivers a break from the demand of caring for a loved on, our
respite program offers three levels of care, depending on need. Price
is structured on a per day fee and is not covered by Medicare or
insurance.
Surgical Services
Outpatient
surgical services, ambulatory care and same day surgery refer to
surgeries and procedures that do not require overnight hospitalization.
Many types of surgeries, as well as colonoscopy and gastroscopy, may be
done on an outpatient basis. Our Department of Surgical Services also
provides surgery done as an inpatient.
