Dr. Joseph Petrusek Returns to Wallowa County.
Wallowa Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce Dr. Joseph Petrusek, MD.; a Board Certified Otolaryngologist (ear, nose, throat, head and neck surgery) will be coming to Enterprise once a month to see patients.
Dr. Petrusek specializes in medical and surgical treatment for infections of the sinus, tonsils, adenoids, mastoids (ear), and salivary glands (mumps gland). He performs allergy testing, diagnosis and treatment, and removal of skin lesions, including skin cancers. To qualify for Board Certification in this specialty requires five years of approved, specialized training after graduating from medical school and passing a national examination administered by the Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Petrusek was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his Doctorate of Medicine at Marquette School of Medicine (now known as the Medical College of Wisconsin), and completed his internship in Seattle Washington. He was then accepted into residency of Otolaryngology at the University of Washington for the next four years.
He and his family moved to Eastern Oregon, setting up practice in La Grande in 1975. He has four grown children. His wife Cathy, a Registered Nurse, works with him in his practice doing allergy testing and treatment.
Dr. Petrusek enjoys the outdoors of Eastern Oregon, including biking, backpacking into the high lakes, hunting, fishing and skiing.
Dr. Petrusek will be seeing patients on a monthly basis at Winding Waters Clinic, 404 NE 1st Street, Enterprise. He will be doing surgical procedures at Wallowa Memorial Hospital. To make an appointment call 541-963-8643.
